National Lottery funding to showcase Northern Ireland’s cultural heritage

To mark the European Year of Cultural Heritage, nine projects have been awarded grants to celebrate and promote Northern Ireland’s diverse cultural heritage.

Sharing grants of £500,000 has been made possible by the new partnership between the Heritage Lottery Fund, Tourism NI and the Department for Communities Historic Environment Division.

The capacity to build workshops, communities and skills in this program has been developed to combat the challenges that the EYCH has highlighted over the last few years such as digital and conservation concerns.

Building on existing events alongside crafting new ideas to celebrate culture heritage will highlight future opportunities for the Northern Irish community.
