Celebrating Humphry Repton 2018
March 23 @ 8:00 am - December 31 @ 5:00 pm
In 2018 we will be celebrating the work of Humphry Repton, the last great landscape designer of the eighteenth century.
This March will mark the bicentenary of his death.
A champion of Gardenesque; Repton wrote various additions of red books which explained the arrangement of exotic plants style designed in accordance with his ‘Principle of Recognition’.
The year will involve various collaborative projects with events and activities across the country and Europe. Look out for your local events or explore Repton sites in other counties.
If you are organising events, you can use the Celebrating Humphry Repton logo and publicise them on our Repton 200 Events page. You will also find a list of Repton sites and a Repton reading list among our Repton campaign materials.
