’The 15cBooktrade Project – Printing R-Evolution’

October 22, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

£20

The results of the ambitious 15cBooktrade Project are so unexpected that they will be shared in an innovative exhibition at the Museo Correr in Venice from 1 September – 7 January 2019. This talk in London by Cristina Dondi and Geri della Rocca de Candal will introduce their findings, the exhibition and a new charity that will provide emergency conservation for small libraries, starting with that from the Venetian monastery of San Michele in Isola, currently held at San Francesco della Vigna in Venice.

The 15c Booktrade Project is based in Oxford but linked to libraries across many countries and is funded by the European Research Council

This talk is included in Venice in Peril Fund’s Autumn Programme of Events which raises funds forconservation projects in Venice and promotes a deeper understanding of Venice and the contribution it has made to world culture.

Cristina Dondi, Lincoln College, Oxford is Principal Investigator of the 15c Booktrade Project and Geri della Rocca de Candal is Postdoctoral Research Fellow and President of the Society for the Preservation of Rare Books.
